The shoes this winter are high high high: Acrophobic abstain. Stilettos are towering with the hidden platforms and rather vivid colors this winter. Very feminine are also the lace ups whether they come as shoes or boots. Thigh high boots in suede are also omnipresent, high maintenance and you can easily fall into a fashion faux-pas, but they can be stylish for the ones with longer legs.

For those who understand French, this is a link with tips about what to wear with the shoes, for those who can’t the images give a full idea about the trends.
The 1980s are back and so are the shoulder pads, one trend I would not invest in really, although they have taken smaller proportions and a rounder shape.
I would recommend it though for those who have very slender shoulders, it will balance the silhouette.
Also back from the eighties are the used jeans, used as in torn.
Leggings are still very present on the scene, they even take new looks: artificial leather shine, vinyl shine, even rock n’ roll and biker. Yes, we have leggings with rivets.
Rivets are very in style this season. Whether it is on a jacket, jeans, shoes, hats… just be careful not to overdue it. One item should be enough, if you cannot stand them on your clothes, you can pick accessories with them. They are also on hats, shoes and gloves.
Another trend is very prevailing: the military look for both men and women. And when we say military, it does not mean the camo pattern. Although you should make the effort not to fall into the uniform, one item can add a lot of sass. The military touch can be just in the shape of a jacket, coat, pants or even boots.
Oddly enough this winter the palette of colors is bright: Red, blue, orange, yellow and plum (and their variations) are siding with the eternal black, white and brown. Metallic colors are still fashionable. Basically the summer colors take warmer tones. I think it is a very effective way to fight the gloom. Let us not forget that the bold prints are in too, but use with moderation if you don’t want to get too kitschy. Tartan is also present on the scene, just don’t fall into the schoolgirl outfit.
This is the report that will give you a full idea about the colors, the professional pantone report, along with sketches from several designers.

Another important part of the fashion apparel is the nail polish colors. In winter where toes are hidden, the attention is on the hands. And no outfit is complete without perfect nails. The French Manicure, although a classic by now, is not THE trend of the winter same as it was not in summer. The shades are similar to the clothes’, added is a subtle glitter or shine; here are a couple of links with more detail.
